This phone is just like the i730 but it has a smaller size. I would not pay **** for this phone. It is also the ugliest phone Nextel has ever made even if there is a silver one. I am a Nextel dealer and listen to me: do not get the i830, wait until August and get the i860 which has a larger screen and a camera.

hey, man, better get some facts straight, you should know if you were actually a "real" dealer, there is the 830, the 860, and the 930 supposed to be coming out, and the camera phone is the 930, not the 860, just thought you'd like to know. 🙂

your wrong the 860 is also a camera phone .. the 830 isnt a camera phone I REPEAT THE 860 IS THE CAMERA PHONE

yep i am in nrs.
830 is coming out in june
860 is coming out in q3 and
930 coming out in q4 and
605 coming out in q1 of 2005
and those off network push to talk are supposed to come out this year

i think nextel and motorola need to focus on producing nice phones at faster rates rather than making these ugly nascar phones that look like toys,, i like my i730 a lot, and dont believe its worth upgrading to the i830 since it does the exact same thing, best thing to do is to wait for the i930 which hopefully will have the new version of windows mobile,,

oh and another thing, Nextel doesn't make the phones, motorola does. there is also southern linc who has the motorola two-way phones.

You're a NRS and you're bashing your own product. It wasn't even out the day you posted this, so your opinion is already sounds bias. It sounds more like you are trying to make yourself feel justified about not getting this phone because maybe you cannot afford it or you don't want any phone being better than the i730. By the way, the FCC is looking to ban camera phones (companies are also discouraging camera phones), you the i860 will be a nice toy but can't be a business phone if you can't use it where it is needed most.
I just ordered the Silver i830 phone and can't wait to get it. It looks like a great phone, and I'm sure it'll do the job just fine.

the fcc will or might band camera phones? so what you think that will stop people? absoutly not. fcc says it will do many things and it doesnt. ie the consensus plan. people are told to stop downloading music for free and movies for free but they still do it.
i had it in my stores. nrs we can get it early if we want to .. but anyway. i can bash my own product. i would rather be truthful about the 830 and get not so many sales than be non truthful and get many sales. i like to be practising good morals and ethics. becuase i can still rely on the other phones that we have.
