Very impressed!! Yes, it's only a VGA camera but it kicks my 6000's butt. The Bluetooth headset is extremely light, and has a 6 hour talktime. The main LCD is bigger than I thought, as is the outer display. You can also utilize the outer display to take self-portraits, I love that. The rep confirmed for me that we (USCC) will be carrying this phone, along with Verizon and Alltel. The retail price will be around ONLY $270!! I cannot wait for this to come out!
Date of release? Time frame? $270 full retail without a contract?
I thought I heard about a class action suit based on false advertising taking place in San Francisco regarding their crippling the bluetooth functionality & then advertising it as "bluetooth capable..."
Anyone else hear about that?
I would think that would make Verizon think twice about crippling another phone.
kega
customers were going into stores saying and asking what bluetooth could do...reps would just say...okay..
after researching it more it wasn't a bad idea to block it since there is some 'bluetooth theft' when people are talking on their headsets...but it should have been represented better
You know nothing about that which you are speaking.
are you in discovery mode, meaning are you able to be recognized by others searching for devices
and how close you are to the thief. BT range is app. 30ft for the handset. Other devices have ranges up to 100ft.
simply use your phone as you would. The 6255 Discovery mode can be left on indeffinatly which poses a risk for teft or hacking. to solve the problem simply turn your discovery mode off after pairing. shortcuts make this a 2 key stroke process. The Moto V710 only stays in discovery mode for 60 seconds, which is nice. But the 6255, in my opinion, blows that phone out of the water.
