Well the word I got from a location manager was that the phone was due in stores March 1. This cat however did not know what model or any other viable details about the phone.
I talked to some of the people in the corporate office and was told that while they could not give me a release date or estimated cost she could confirm that the testing phase had been ended, and that the phone was ready to be shipped out to stores. Those details along with 'People here in our corporate office are VERY anxious to get this phone...' is really all she released to me.
I would tend to think the rumor (as I am sure the that is what the store rep heard on the release date) is true since CS just released the KX2 3 days ago. Last year they rolled out ...

Negative, still absolutely nothing on the price. I'm guessing it'll be in the ~$350 range with no contract, as of now they are selling the Koi KX2 for $379 out right.

Just spoke to a guy that does the phone testing... skirted around and asked him about it, at first he did not want to release any details to me about the phone but by the end of the conversation he admited that he was talking to me on his 6255i-- Cell South is NOT going to disable, limit or restrict any of the features that come with the phone from Nokia. That is great news but the even better news is while he would not give me a release date I told him 'I need a new phone and I would like to wait for this one but if its going to be too long coming out I'm not going to be able to hold off... my contract rolls March 1st' His reply was 'When it gets time to renew your contract you'll be good to go...'
