Most manufacturers announce phones way before they're actually released. This is just another case of it.

What? Did you think at all before making that comment-- if it hasn't been released by any of the smaller companies (or anyone for that matter) why would you think that it was not going to be released at all... the phone goes on sale from Cell South in two weeks, it won't be long before others get finished with the testing and roll it out.
A phone with as many features as this one has takes a bit more time to test and mull over than say an 8900 or something. 😉
