Nokia 6255i / 6256i
Buying from Verizon Store VS. Best Buy
Like was said before the plans are the same the price of the phone will be different. Verizon Wireless stores can do discounts for loyal customers (new for every 2 and other things as well).

Best Buy Has a 30 day return policy on cell phones.
Mine said 14 days. I'm in California.
I would think that after the purchase, one would get better care and better offers from the VzW store.

Ok so the 6255i made it 2 US CELLULAR which means it should really not be long b4 6256i comes 2 Verizon. What do u all think? I talked 2 sum1 afew days ago and they said they should get it by Dec 1st? but then again they may not be right again. Do u believe it?
But you did not answer my question. It is possible that the 6256i comes to VzW and at this point no one can credibly say No. For the sake of discussion, which entity would do better by me after the purchase of the phone? Or stated another way: Which entity has a track record of doing better by the customer after a two year contract relationship?

I am sure that it a good phone, or else you would not call yourself NokiaFan. As for predictions, I leave them for the people who are connected. It would make a good Christmas present; I hope you get it........... and I am here in Southern California, a great place to live. 🙂

(I am not talking about if you have problems with your phone and want a new one. I am talking about what inducements you are offered to re-up with VzW after your contract is up. Maybe there is no difference at all, but I want to know.)

During that time, if you want to exchange your phone for another model, or cancel your service or anything, you have to deal with the people you bought it from. This was a real pain for me, because I wanted to exchange my phone, but I wasn't near the store I bought it from any more - if I had bought through verizon, they could have mailed me a replacement.
Anyways, after the initial period, I was told that everything I did went through verizon. I did several warranty exchanges through verizon myself.
I would ask at the store to be sure, but when I did it,...

I prefer to know the answer to my question so that I indeed just go and buy it. Does anyone have the answer to the question: Which gives better long-term care: a non-Verizon store/Best Buy or a Verizon store?
-Lorna
Lorna, I understand that this phone won't be available in Verizon stores at all. So what decisions are you actually making?
If you did have a choice of where to buy a phone, from Verizon would be the better choice.
I bought from internet (cellularchoices.net) who gave me $200 mail-in rebate, with which I got the phone free. They too offer 15 days return policy.
I did this previous year for my cingular phone, and I got every mail-in rebate I submitted. But you need to remember to submit the rebate.
