Question: If I add a memory card, am I then able to take longer videos? Or is the system set up so that any video I take has to go first to the phone's memory, which is at about 9 MB?

i recall hte manual saying it is limited to 15 seconds. So a mmc card should not increase the length of the video. Just allow you to store it so you have the phones memory.
Too bad one cannot take longer video clips via large memory card. -Lorna

If your in capture mode, just go into Options, choose Settings, an' then scroll down to Video Clip Length. There's two choices there:
-Default (15 second limit)
-Maximum

That's probably why the Default is 15 seconds. If i'm wrong, someone correct me.

Sorry I guess i read it wrong then I thought 15 seconds was the limit.
But if you were wrong in thinking that 15 secs was the limit, then logically there ought to be a menu wherein you could set the time for longer or for "amount available in camera memory." I checked all of the menu options that I figured logical, and there is no place to set the video length time. When I took the video, it cut off at 15 seconds, so it is either a default which can be changed or a set time limit which cannot be changed.
I looked at all of the menu options in SETTINGS as well as in CAMERA, and there is nowhere that suggests one can change.
It seems logical to me that with a memory card, video time co...
