Battery Size & Space for MMC Card?
http://store.accessorygeeks.com/no6255ibatts.html »
I see descriptions of "slim" and it makes me wonder ... anyone know if a "slim" type is necessary to leave room for the MMC card?
Thanks! doc
To answer your question, I don't think it would matter what kind of battery you get because the MMC Card slides in under the battery in that little silver door that flips open once the battery is out of the phone.
I have the MMC Card and the regular Nokia battery that came with the phone when I bought it and the card fits in without any problems.
Just wanted to make sure.
I am actually looking at a 1000MAh battery for extended life.

I don't know if an extended battery exists yet because I haven't seen any online on any of the accessory sites I know or even on eBay.

If you are going to buy an extended battery for the phone, you want a battery with a maH that is at least 1070 or higher because that is what the standard battery is according to the link you left in you first post. Any maH number less than that and I'm pretty sure that you will get less battery life.

Bingo. The funny thing is, I'm pretty sure dat the battery that ships wit' the 6256i already IS the extended battery. It just don't seem like it, because its not all that big.
The 'slim' batteries you see advertised for the 6255/6256i seem pretty useless... way ...

And the 1070 is the only OEM battery shown for this phone.
That 1200mAH battery may give a slightly longer talk time, but don't bet on it. But if the battery is well constructed, it's as good as or better value than the OEM battery at $40-$50.
With the 6256 having an FM radio, and (maybe?) and MP3 player, it doesn't make sense to have such a wimpy battery.
