hey guys, I was wondering if it is possible to get rid of the date appearing in the middle of my main display on the Nokia 6255i, so it does not mess up the wall paper.
oh yeah, is there any codes that I should know to maintain maxium control over the phone and the options?

Nope, and nope. Sorry... I wish I could get rid of the date too, and the banner for that matter

your can actually fix both using diego .... the battery indicator, signal meter and softkey labels however are there for good

Turn off date --> Menu->Settings->Date and Time Settings->Scroll to Date->Press Select->Hide Date
Turn off clock --> Menu->Settings-> Date and Time Settings-> Select Clock-> Press Select-> Hide Clock.
One code i use is universal for nokia, you can edit the alpha tag and the other NAM settings (woohoo.. big woop) but the code is *3001#12345# this is also a good way to recover your security code.

oh yea, the alpha tag is what Nokia calls the banner. if you set this to blank you can get rid of it but you will probably need the service programming code (SPC) but the only way to get to the alpha tag (Banner) is to type in the *3001#12345# and select NAM1 and scroll to alpha tag.

Go to settings. Click on Time and date. Click on Date. Click on Hide date. That should hide the date on your main display.
