Nokia 6255i / 6256i
MMC Card
How do you make the 6255i see the memory card? I have formated it and it is seen by the computer but not the phone. Is there something I'm not doing? I have a KingMax 512 card. Nokia said they only recommend their cards and not over 256 🤣 Thank you

i have a kingston 512 and my boss has a 1gb ... both work fine. make sure your card is actually mmc and not SD as both cards physically fit in the slot but the latter will not register on the phone.

My card is a KingMax NOT Kingston card and no a SD card will not fit in the same slot. SD is just a hair bigger.

I have a Top Ram 1gb MMC card for my 6255, works great although on occasion the phone freezes, i was told though that some cards will not be recognized by the nokia phone and some will. It may just be that your card is an unsupported card. You may also try reformatting it using third party software, if you can find some.

I'm having an issue too. I just got my 6255i replaced for the 3rd time and this one will not recognize my 1GB memory card. The previous two worked great with it but this one doesn't. It's an AData MyFlash 1GB MMC card. Just noticed something interesting that I never paid attention to on the two previous phones. The memory card I have has 7 contact leads and the phone only has 6. From the wear though on the card it looks as if it was only using 6 of the leads in the past. Can anyone verify if this is true with their model or if I've received maybe a new revision of this phone?
