Nokia 6255i / 6256i
Release date???
The last time someone mentioned a date is that it was gonna be late January??? Anything changed since then???
Just anxious... 🙂
I prolly would have been willing to sacrifice a little bit of size to get the slot in a more convenient location though...

Since you got a working model, I wanted to ask you how well does this phone synch both its contact list and calendar/appointments with Outlook? Any problems there?
Also, how good is the voice dialing via a bluetooth headset? And while we are at it and the V710 fiasco is still in progress, how good is the file transfer abilities via bluetooth??? Any problems with bluetooth usage in general???
Nokia is claiming a lot of functionality for the bluetooth for this phone according to what Mr. R. Brome has posted on the website... (i.e. bluetooth version 1.1 / supports Headset, Handsfree, Object Push, Generic Access, File Transfer, and Serial Port profiles). Care to share any comments? 🙂
Thanks in advance,

I have been waiting for a "top-of-the-line" clamshell-style phone with fully functioning bluetooth ever since the V710 turned out to be a huge bust... I can't believe that one doesn't currently exist!
C'mon already, somebody put out a

hey, while I'm at it, does anyone know the RX sensitivity rating on the LG vx6100 (for comparison)?
It's just wish this phone would come out already, because I'd really like to upgrade to a flip with great reception and a speakerphone (the reception isn't so good in the room at my house, so the LG's don't quite make the cut. trust me, I have one).
On the other hand, I would be ticked if this phone came out, cost a bunch of money, and then had bugs. I guess that's always the problem huh - the customer wants it now, but they want it to be cheap and work well at the same time! 😁
my dad had a nokia for a very brief time...in my house it did drop calls...but it held onto calls very well in some areas that surprised the hell out of me
thats why i'm waiting for the nokia also...not a fan of the shape..but the bluetooth and camera sound very appealing...and i do happen to work in a vzw store...have worke din many...the last few nokia phones we've sold...honestly they are solid phones...reception and build quality..the 5100/6100 had the same issues with any co...its battery got loose...put a piece of paper and it was fine...the 3589 was solid...
