..Grape Vine Tree a.k.a. "A Friend"
The information is 100% credible tho.
...
do u know if it will have a speaker fone???
...
Well if your info os credible, give me an exact date of arrival.
...
Your contact person is confused. They were probably talking about the Samsung MM-A700 which should be released mid to late August, right before the Sanyo MM-7400(which has all the features of the A700, but includes Readylink).
...
You both have it wrong... The August release is for the I-600 which is the Windows version of the I-500. The I-550 is slated for around November...
...
Will Sprint's version of the i600 be the same as Verizon's or will it have a camera? How do you know the i550 will be released in November?
...
I ,ve only been told by Sprint reps as to the I-550 release and a little feed back from the Aamsung accessories reps.--don't know for sure about a release date- the I-600 will not have all the goodies of the I-550- I'm surprised Sprint is going to release it - must be to fill the Windows smart phone slot...
...
So when is this phone suppose to hit the market? Give me a date and time.
...
Seeing that the A700 was released yesterday at many Sprint stores, I believe I do know what I'm talking about. The I600 will not be out before the end of August and the I550 probably won't be out before the end of the year. Sorry you got some erroneous info.
...
it is going to be out in late february 2005
...
I spoke to a sprint person last Thursday and she said that there was no record of the samsung I550 coming out. She did say that a PDA that is ppc based will be out in feb. but not the I550. I really want this phone, if it ever comes out. Looks like I may be jumping on the 650 bandwagon soon.

If you talk to someone at customer care, they do not know anything about upcoming phones, I know I used to work with that division closely. The reps have a tool to look at devices & can see new phones, but this forum knows more about the phones than customer care. I haven't heard a buzz about this device yet, but I will definitely look into it. I don't like the i500 because of lack of mp3 player capabilities, and I want it's successor because of the clamshell design. The PPC 660x device is a very nice phone tho, extremely well designed.
