Keyboard Lighting Color?
I recently received a used KX1v (verizon) phone. In addition to some other weirdness, the keypad lights up blue. It seems that other folks refer to theirs as being red. Are their different models or generations with different keypads? Mine is the style that has the outside display going lengthwise (opposite of most brands of phones) if that makes a difference. For what it's worth, the keypad is REALLY blurry when lit up in a dark room. So blurry that it's hard to read the buttons. Also, the Hang Up/Power button doesn't light up at all. Can anyone tell me what color their keypad is, or whether it has given them problems?

#1 - I am guessing that the blue color of the keypad lights is something that may vary from provider to provider. Mine (from US Cellular) is red. Perhaps all of Verizon's are blue.
The hang-up/Power button lights up on mine.
Just guessing, but I am thinking that somebody has monkeyed with the phone you bought and screwed it up, and that's why it was for sale.
By the way, the keypad on mine is NOT blurry in a dark room, it's perfectly readable.
I've had my KX-1 for 6 months and it's given me no problems whatsoever. Nice Phone. However, I repeat my statement that I am guessing that yours has been tampered with. If possible, you should return it and get a refund.

Had mine for 2 days, keypad is red and it's definately not blurry.
No problems whatsoever and it has better reception than most phones I've had.

The Verizon variant has the lengthwise outside display. The phone's general color is silver and the keys are dark grey and silver on the middle collumn.
I can't see how a keypad can be blurry. All the buttons light up blue, except of course the send (green) and end (red), the bottom and top rows of number are a touch darker then the rest.
