Motorola RAZR V3
V3 is Unlocked from Cingular!
I guess a better way for ICS to know if his/her phone is unlocked is to use a t-mobile SIM and see what happens?
when i coulda just bought the phone on line and put my t mobile sim in it..
but most of the features are carrier dependent
My question now is when I transfer my current cell phone number...will there be a problem when I cancel? What is the process and how will I get my previous service to work again?
This is a terrible way to find out about whether the phones will be locked or unlocked...I'm definitely not excited about this process. I hope the phone won't be locked or I have to go through a lot of headache and dish out money for services incurred and activation fees.
Those that have the V3 from Cingular (not contest winners) - can anyone help me out by popping in a SIM card (besides AT&T) to see if it works? ...

When you move your number from one carrier to the other, you automatically cancel your old number so just make sure your contract is expired.
Yes, my contract with Verizon has expired. So if I switch to Cingular and then decide this isn't for me...is it possible to go back to my previous provider with my phone number?
I don't think it should matter, but some Cingular reps have been telling them that the new phones are locked.
