the one that you like the most, has the features and battery life that suits you and fits into your budget. I personally have found the Jabra BT250 as one of the best out there. The Moto HS810 is also VERY nice. Both support the "headset" and "handsfree" profiles ("handsfree" isn't neccessary, but it enables a few features that aren't included in "headset"). One thing I've heard about the HS810 though is that it causes Moto phones to default to standard ringtones rather than the ones you've assigned. I can't lend any creedence to this, but it's something to keep in mind and ask about when purchasing.

when using the 810, which I find nice, the ringer is on the earpiece, so all you get is a ringing tone, not the ringtone you would select to hear out of the phone.

If that is something that could be changed, I'd love to see it, perhaps the 850 (black 810 with longer batt life) may have it.

My thought on it has been that if I had the earpiece on, that it should ring in my ear, the thought being if I were away from the phone I may not be within earshot to hear it ring ... sound plausable?

I have the 810 (Moto) and yes, the ringer on the headset always defaults to standard ringtone. Does the jabra work with assigned ringtomes?
Also, I noticed on Bodygloves website that they are introducing the "Blueglove Sport" a very nice looking Jabra style headset with an extendable boom mic. ($99)

I have the Plantronics M2500 and am very disappointed with battery life and quality. ☚ī¸

It was cheap and I got what I paid for. It's going off to eBay-land and I'm going to switch to the Jabra.

Question: Do other BT headsets connect automatically to the phone or do you have to use Settings->Connections->Bluetooth Link to activate the connection each time?

I got the G2 from Bluetrek. It works great with the V3. Smaller and better looking than anything else I found out there...
