Razr Address Book Entries

Does anyone know how i can change the address book settings? If I have more than one phone number/email for the name it lists it as a separate entry, that makes the address book quite long to sift through!

how do u get from 1 name, 2 numbers= 2 entries to 1 name, 2 numbers= 1 entry?

in phonebook options, set phonebook to show only primary entries(the first entry for a particular name) then there will be only one entry for each person. then use directional pad to scroll left and right through each name to see the other numbers.

Phonebook entries must have the exact same names for this to work of course.

I store mine on the phone so I can do voice records and dialing via BT. If you store to sim you are limited to what you can do with the entries.

I back up entries with Phone Tools once a month in case I lose the phone. I used the entries from my v600(stored on pc) for my Razr.

can this only be done when NOT saving to SIM? I was trying to save to my SIM card but it wouldn't work until i finally tried just saving to the phone, and it finally went through...which is good..but this means that it will not be stored if i swap my SIM to my other phone right? thanks to anyone who can help...

Phone book entries on the phone even under one name can be sorted by primary contact, so int he phonebook only the primary shows up in the listing initially. If text messaging and you go to the phonebook, all available numbers are shown.

most phone functions such as VD, ringtone assignments and groupings have to be stored to the phone for that to function.

I only back up to my computer at this time, which can also substitute for a sim (for me, as my system is BT capable, I can do my PB transfers wirelessly between my V3 and V600).
