BT Dialing

UODUCKS

I apologize in advance if this question has been answered...
I just bought the v3 and HS810 BT headset...
My first question is if anybody has issues with the phone recognizing thier voice...if I say a person's name...sometimes it dials someone else...should I use more than one syllabul for thier name?

My second question is, is it possible to dictate a phone number to the phone and have it dial that way?

Thanks for any advice, I appreciate it!

The only way to use voice dialing via bluetooth is by name.

Yes sometimes it will pull another. What I try to do is record the names in the quietest enviorment possible. That seems to work for me.

I do notice that my Nokia 6230 has much better recognition than either my razr or v600.

Keep in mind that the more voice dials you record the better the chance it will pick the wrong one. Also, make them as long as it allows to have the most data for comparing and to differentiate them from each other in memory.

I typically record only 5 or 6 of the most often dialed numbers to keep accuracy high in varying background noise environments.

Then practice saying the name several times before you record it, depending on the names themselves, try not to have similar names. The purpose of you practicing is to get a feel for how you would be saying it if you whip out the phone to make the voice dial, tonal inflection is important. If you finally record after several practice session you will see the misdials occur less frequently, and backround noise becomes the more predominant factor.

Your idea of more thn one syllable is a good one, as it lessens the chance ...

If you are a Cingular customer, you may subscribe to a service that will allow you to voice dial by numbers. It is called Voice Connect and costs $4.
99 a month.

I am not an employee of Cingular, just a satisified customer.
