I want this phone..please help me justify
I really want the get this phone and prices have started to come down with a contract, however, the only thing keeping me from purchasing it is the fact that Lock/Line won't insure it. I am careful with all of my belongings, especially ones as pricey as the RAZR, but accidents are known to happen. Did the rest of you guys have a hard time justifying the purchase of this phone due to the lack of insurance issue?

if you've got the $$ to spend and REALLY want the RAZR, but can't deal without insurance. Check out this website.

That's the insurance company that my store insures thru, I know they'll cover your RAZR. I've got customers that have RAZR's that have it.

There wasn't much information on their website. Do you know how much they charge to cover the RAZR and what the terms are? i.e. What are monthly charges and how much do they charge to make a claim to replace the phone? Thanks for your help.

Here's a thought for all of you out there.
The whole thing bothered me about insurance until I realized that I used my Platinum Visa to buy mine.
Folks, with my Visa Platinum, I'm covered for purchases made using it, IOW, check with your credit card company, for most major purchases some cards extend the warrenty period on an item purchased, so while I might have to go thru Moto for a repair issue, I still feel covered.

A warranty and insurance are not the same thing. If your phone is stolen or you accidentally break it, the warranty will not do you squat. However, if you have insurance coverage, you simply make a claim, pay a replacement fee, and voila - you get another phone.

I called NCOA and they told me that I can not get insurance directly through them. They told me that I must purchase the phone from a retailer that uses NCOA for insurance. Unfortunately, their website is down and they could not provide me with a list of retailers. Does anyone know of a Moto RAZR retailer that I can purchase this phone w/ NCOA insurance?
