Battery Indicator acting weird
Hi all,
I just bought a brand new Motorola Razr V3 from Cingular Wireless, and so far the phone is pretty cool. One thing I have noticed is some weird behavior in the battery indicator.
Sometimes I'll have the phone charging all day, and the battery indicator will show that the phone is still at one bar of battery life, and blinking. Sometimes, after showing the phone is fully charged, I'll unplug the phone, and the battery indicator will start blinking with one bar of battery life, much like when it is in the charging mode. I'll look at the menu optioned battery indicator and it will read about a 1/3 full.
Usually when the phone exibits this weird behavior, if you turn it off and back on, it seems to fix this issue.

I bought my Motorola Razr V3 just over a month ago. That's important because it means I can't take it back for an in store return.
My phone had the charging quirks you mentioned. In fact, it once still said it was charging and the battery indicator continued to scroll after I had unplugged it. I chalked it up to an odd happening, but now my keypad no longer lights up. This makes doing anything with the phone in the dark impossible. Obviously the phone has some internal issues.
My options are 1) sending it to the manufacturer for a repair or replace ... their choice, not mine, or 2) using the insurance I purchased and seeing if I can exchange the phone for a new one.
I'm leery of a product that has issues in the first month .....
