CDMA RAZR??
Does anyone know what the status is of the CDMA RAZR?? I have seen some information about it and some kick off dates but I am not putting much faith in either. Some information says they will be out 4QT this year. Some say 1QT next. With MP3 or without. Any news would help. Thank you.

I can only imagine how ugly the cdma razr will be for Verizon. For starters its not even going to have bluetooth on it,and its thicker, and verizon will put their ugly logo all over it!!!

Tanks Gunny. I have been a VZ customer for years and it has been okay. The problem is that I travel alot in the States and Canada. I really need to have a phone that works EVERYWHERE for both voice and data. As I said, VZ is okay and I know it kind of works with voice and not at all with data in Canada for the Net Express but I am very unsure about some of the other services. I feel that once you take that step it's really hard to go back to VZ.
I wish I could hear from people that travel all over the US and Canada and see what they have to say. Thanks.

Thats cool, I really understand what your saying. I guess when you dont travel like myself Cingular works well. Be excited about the Razr..I am. Some folks like to dog on it, but I think its super cool. So cool in fact I just had to have one and refuse to wait any longer. I hope it comes out by years end. Last article I read on phonescoop said the folks at Motorola have put more people on it, and are making a push for years end. you can bet when it comes out it will work fantastic on verizons quality network. Hopefully me jumping in will kick start this thread for you and will get further input. take it easy. 😁

I don't use the phone for data, but I have used my RAZR in Canada and various places in the US. It is quad band, so I'm curious why you feel it may NOT work everywhere?

I am not sure if the quad band phone works for CDMA? Does it? I am sure that the phone works but I wonder about VZ. They don't seam to have a very strong partnership with any phone companies in Canada. Is a quad phone the same as a world phone? Thanks.

Yes, a quad band phone is a world phone. No, it won't work on CDMA, only on GSM. You need the Cingular/T-Mobile version to get quad band.
