what programs do i need to get the mp3 on the phone?
what else do i need to buy to transfer the playlist from my computer to the phone?
I already have the usb cord but i don't know what else to do?

There are two product that will do far more than just tranfer/edit MP3's - one by Mobile Action (Handset Manager) and one by Motorola (Mobile Phone Tools). You only need the USB cord you've referred to if you don't have a Bluetooth computer. Now, the RAZR is NOT a ROKR, so don't expect to transfer a playlist of 100 songs.....
I'm not aware of any shareware or freeware that is compatible with the RAZR, but I guess it's possible.
