saving pictures to adress book

i have a picture that i want to set as with a contact so when the person calls it shows the picture, but when i go to my pics and hit apply as address book entry, it says that there is no contacts saved to my phone when i have like 20 of em,

The address book entries have to be stored in the phone's memory. Yours are likely stored on the SIM card. You'll have to move them to the phone before you can apply an image.

Go to address book, find contact you want to apply photo to. Edit number, scroll down until you see picture (should say "none"), select change then scroll down until you find the picture you want, then select, and your done.
