Motorola V260 / V262
USCC V262 Update
The V262 demo has reached USCC stores. Release date expected to occur now with that of the V710.
After using the V262 I do have to say it is going to be a great replacement to the T731. The phone has great key tactile response and Shortcut key selection. Also the negative colored external display is a neat new addition. My only quip would be the extremely tiny primary display. When they say thumbnail view space they are not kidding! đ
Overall a great entry level flip phone perfect for new users or young adults.

đ Stopped in two USCC stores today and asked about this phone. In both they had never heard of the phone and doubted it would come out anytime soon. Wisconsin area.. I really want this phone and hope it will be available from USCC.

The phone will be available soon. The release date was pushed back until the end of the month or soon after to allow testing to complete properly. I've seen and used the phone in person, very nice entry level flip. Aside from a small viewable screen I'd definitly recommend it.

Phone has officially been realesed from U.S. Cellular...should have them by Friday..or Monday...ill follow up when i get one in my hands..

The phone is in...very nice looking and good feel to it...smaller than the 731...has a smaller screen, but a nice keypad feel...ill tell you more after i use it...

YES! It is listed now on the USCC website for $20 with a two year. Now if I can just find a local store that has it. I may have to wait till Saturday but it is worth it to me.

U.S. Cellular in Oklahoma City now has the 262's. They just came in to my store today. They are 20.00 on a two year agreement with a $40 plan and FREE on a $50 and higher plan. They are very cool phones, much better than the 731.

ok...my first review...very nice feeling phone, love the soft touch cover...nice reverse negative outer screen..very very visible...the inner screen is smaller than the 731 but this is also a less expensive phone..under $200 to purchase without a contract...very loud ringtones and the speaker phone is usable, although nothing like the lg 5550...keypad has a nice feel to it...the sound quality is nice..not as loud as some of the other phones but this is a lower end phone. overall very comparable to the soho..but with a little better feel..battery life is ok...i cant really evaluate this one..i am a very high user so my battery usually runs down every day on a normal battery.....i think its a definite step up from the 731..

I will always take an LG over a Motorola! So much more user friendly, much louder... as for Modtones DJ, it may be available at some point but it isn't right now. âšī¸

This only has one ringtone app for it as of now..and NO comparison between this and the 5550...LG by a landslide...

i got the v262 from alltel about a week ago and i absolutely love the phone but i hate alltel it is unfortuant that i cant use it because i am switching to cellular one because i want to have the freedon of unlimited minuets... by the way you can have ringtones that actually sing the words... mine is freak a leak
