Motorola V260 / V262
Stupid
This phone is stupid, it does'nt have a camera! the screen is small, maybe this phone would had been something different, if it was released 2 1/2 yrs ago.

Not everyone needs or wants a camera on thier phone. In fact many corporations are banning the use of camera phones in their facilities for security purposes, so there is still a market for non-camera phones. What's the use of having a camera in your phone if you're not going to use it anyway?
This looks like a reasonable replacement for the t720/730 series which is getting a bit outdated. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have used Nokia, Audiovox, Kyocera, Lucky Goldstar and Motorola and found that they all can and do make good phones. They are designed by people and cannot be expected to be perfect or be "everything" to everyone.
Thing I believe with the camera phone craze is that there are some that want a Nikon quality picture and a perfect phone that always receives a signal everywhere you carry it. What makes people think that there is a perfect phone. There isn't. There are some better than others but I have used at least 6 different model Motorola phones and they ALL have performed well. I use an Audiovox now as a personal phone and it is fine. My business phone is a Motorola and it is fine too.

Not everyone wants (or is even allowed to have at work) a camera phone.
Also, all else being equal, the camera adds to the cost of the phone, and in most cases doesn't even take a good picture. I'd rather have a simpler/cheaper phone, and a digital camera that actually takes GOOD pictures.

Sorry gmc, you pretty much know what I know... the 265 is slated to show up Nov. 12th (and is already in some Radio Shacks), and the 260 MIGHT show up a couple of weeks after that... or not at all. Sorry. âšī¸

there is a catalog number assigned to the v260 in radio shack's computer system, so must be a reason for that

Seriously gmc, I was one of the first (if not the first) guys on PhoneScoop to tell you weeks back that the v265/v260 might be coming out for Verizon... nuthin' would make me happier than to see ya finally getting the phone you want, because your quest has certainly been a long one. đ

i am basically hanging off untill i can compare the lg 6100 and the v260/265 in person, i think. my wife and I have come to realize that if her job sends her where she cant have a cell phone w/ camerea, then that's just to bad, they can live with her not having it or they will have to send one with her to use, its not like they are paying for her personal phone! tho.. if i could ever find the cdm9900 in a store, i still might look at it too.
