Motorola V260 / V262
Verizon? When?
Not than I am too picky here: I need a Tri-Mode, flip, speaker phone, dual display, web access, replaceable cover, no camera, no bluetooth that is NOT made in Korea. Is that too much to ask for? I hope not.
Oh yeah, I would also like it to to be out in the next few months with Verizon. If you know of any others that fit the bill, please let me know.
Thanks.
The speakerphone on the V710 is VERY good... But it is half-dulplex... I have personally tested it...
Motorola refers to it as an "Office Quality Speakerphone"...

Full retail 249.99
2 yr rs price 49.99
1 yr 79.99
my guess is right before thanksgiving
I think this might be the phone for me as the v810 is a bit high priced and the KOI that has so much buzz about it is going to be at $200 with a 2 year contract which is WAY to high for a pocket phone.

Verizon Wireless Direct store will probably be mid december since with all motorola phones RS has an exclusive release for at least a week or two...
I would love the V265 if only my company allowed cameras! That's why I'm waiting with baited breath for the V260. My old T720 is literally falling apart. The antenna is half-broken and there are some ominous creaks coming from it when I hold it. So hopefully it will be soon!
I am thinking that maybe since the V265 is on sale until 28 Nov that the V260 will be introduced after that and the V265 price will go back up.
The roomer about black friday came from an owner of a private verizon store. so i am preaty sure that that will be the date. supposedly verizon has 2-3 phones they are bringing withing a week of that date. i don't think any others are without camera or ptt.
any way i am waiting as well for this phone.
what company do you work for that you cant use your phone? ( i work for Harris corp (government comm))
For the one night I owned it I really took a liking to it. The auto voice recognition thing is amazing! And I noticed that the phone book (sorry - contacts!) now has categories (ie- general, business, and personal) I have been wanting that for a while! And yes, you can program multiple numbers for one name. Its all very nice!
blackgoldgator - I work for Boeing. (government stuff as well) Looks like all the big companies are doing the no camera thing.

I just picked up my v265 at the verizon store. Cost=$0, using the new every 2. Only had it about an hour but so far everything looks first rate. I previously had a V60i for 2 years. Here's an idea: Order a v260 faceplate from site posted on this forum. Get a free v265 from Verizon. Put v260 faceplate on it. Instant non-camera phone for those who require it.
