Power off problem
I would like to know if there are other LG PM325 owners that are having a problem with the phone just powering down by itself. I have had the software updated three times and it still happens. The funny thing is that last time I was at Sprint PCS to correct the issue another customer came in with the same phone and the same problem. Sprint will not replace the phone unless they see the problem happen. Since this is such a random problem, it never happens when the tech has it. I am trying to find out how wide-spread this issue is.

I have noticed that my phone will do that - but this is very rare. And it will do it when I start mess around with some of the functions...like BT for example..........

I'm sorry about your problem, but at least now I can tell Sprint I'm not nuts. I've had my LG PM-325 since last Dec. and this same problem surfaced about 2-3 months ago. I've been back to the Sprint store twice and got the same response each time ...upgrade the software, but everything else seemed OK...yet the problem persists, albeit randomly. I just sent a message to Sprint Customer Service. I can no longer have my home phone forwarded to the cell phone with any degree of confidence.

I too have had this phone since December, and it did this as well, but only in January and February. Hasn't done it since. I talked to some techs at sprint and there is/was a known issue with some TOWERS having bad software codes in them; when a certain range of esn's is accessing a certain tower, the phone will power down. They have told me that this is also more prominent with sanyo's 8200 and some other sanyo phones. If this problem persists, notate the time and the location of when you notice it power down. Then, call sprint customer service, and ask for tech support. Tell them you need to submit a network issue. They should ask you a million questions about it, and tell you they are working on it, (they really are, once a certain tower ...

My power off problem persisted and I took the phone back to Sprint for the 3rd time although to a different store/technician. I had heard about the tower problem but I really didn't think that was the cause because it happens in different parts of the state. I did note that when I tried to manually upgrade the software on the phone I would always get an error message. On my 3rd trip Sprint told me that the phone needed to be replaced. I never got an explanation as to what the problem was, but I haven't had any problems with the replacement phone.
