I am having the same problems. I actually bought three bluetooth headset. The motorola 820 works awesome with it when it works right. The problem with the phone is that the chipset for the bluetooth is for 1.0 version. Most of the new phones use 1.1 version, I don't why Siemens miss this but it is very upsetting, I think there will either be an update or a recall, not sure how companies handle boothtooth software/hardware. Other then that the phone is freaken awesome. Also when you purchase your headset make sure it dont need compatible with 1.1. The 820 doesnt, so thats why it dont give any problems.

avoid bluetrek g2, no support from oem, i lost my moto 810 headset. i have no doubt that this website would have worked fine.

Avoid the G2? Are you joking? It's the best BT headset made to date in my opinion and most pro reviewer's opinions as well... 🙄

I have the same problems with the Moto HS820. Had it replaced to no avail. It appears to be a problem with using version 1.0.0 of the software. I e-mailed broadcom (bluetooth provider) and hope they have an intelligent response. So far everyone (Cingular, Motorola, Siemens) wants to point fingers at each other because they don't know any answers and won't try to look into it deeper.
Another annoyance is not being able to transfer a call back to the phone once you have it on the headset. Motorola morons insist "to place a short press on the headset is the only way you have of transferring a call back to the phone." Doing so results in hanging up every time, and they refuse to read my entire e-mails.

They did tell me at Siemens that the Jabra 250 advertised with it on the Cingular website will never work right with that phone. I bought the Plantronics m2500 and it works "fine", although I would like to find a higher quality bluetooth.

do you know of a program that is voice dial capable.
...
Not through the Bluetooth, but MS Voice Command works.
Also, with Cingular, $4.99/month get you voice connect, which is just as if not more accurate that voice dial on the phone.

I have the i-mate PDA2K and they are working on fixing the bluetooth problems. There have been two patches for the PDA2K which have helped but not eliminated the problems. One (which has been fixed) was that the device would frquently wake-up from standby for no reason. The other (not fixed) was a failure to re-connect to the BT headset which was evident after the device was in standby for a while. The BT connection wouldn't always resume afterwards. They have a full firmware upgrade now which I am about to perform. These patches/updates are only for the i-mate. For other brands of this device you'll have to harrass your vendor...
