I spoke to siemens on 1/03/05...they told me they are coming out with their fix for the bluetooth keep a look out on their website people. even though i got a patch, i still want the them to fix what they messed up on. itz the right thing to do 🙂

Let's also remember that Siemens is *NOT* the vendor of this phone. HTC is the ODM and Broadcom is the driver manufacturer.

I have obtained a new sx66 from cingular replacing an existing Motorola V600. Both have Bluetooth as well as my 2004 Dodge which is equipped with the U-Connect system. The V600 worked flawlessly with the U-Connect, but the SX66 does not seem to want to connect. According to U-Connect the version of Bluetooth being used is 1.7, and according to Siemens the SX66 version of Blue tooth is 1.1 AND WILL NOT work in this application. They checked my ROM version as the latest available, but pretty much indicated that the SX66 would not communicate anyway due to this version differences.
Do any of these downloads upgrade the Bluetooth version in the device?
If not, is the limitation a Hardware issue or simply a software one?
