Hey ceoshawn. I got your email with the bluetooth path "BT3500_CDMA_B_OEM_WWE_124_008[2].sa" and installed it on my SX66. I reset the device and tried to use my Motorola 810 bluetooth earpiece. The earpiece still has alot of static when connecting. Any suggestions?

after alot of testing and reading up, all the moto bluetooth headset dont work the current patch. you can try this way of seeing if it works any better, but i would prefer you go for either a plantonim, sony, or logictech.

1. unpair the bluetooth device.
2. place the bluetooth device about 10 feet away and pair the device over again.

if it workz better then before then its worth keeping, if not then please try sony hbh-300, which was tested by doug, and he highly recommends it. the price is around 100.

Thanks for the reply. Luckily I recently bought the Moto 810, so I will be able to return it. You mentioned the plantonim, do you mean the plantronics? They have that headset available @ my local store.

Regarding static bluetooth headsets:

I used the Jabra BT 250, and had horrible static. Then I started to rotate the SX66 and found that the static stopped when the top of the unit pointed to my headset.

So, the static issue *may not* be a SW issue, but instead, a HW issue. I have used the Jabra BT110 and the Motorola HS820 headset without having a static issue.

Weird I don't remember a time I had any static between this phone and my Jabra 250 or my Toyota Prius. I don't think they move farther than about 1 meter apart from each other.

I am posting to see if people are getting a problem where if they put the phone in "off" mode (by pushing the power button) that sometimes when it comes back on the bluetooth headset or car are no longer connected and that it might take turning bluetooth off and on on the PDA to get it to reconnect ??
Thanks.

This might be related to the BT stack problem that has been discussed at length. I too had this problem before applying the BT patch.

It is definately related to the other BT problems discussed at length. I tried the patch cab file but only got one of the bluetooth files updated where two were listed as being changed.
I have, since this post, contacted Cingular and started the process to return this phone.

I will wait until Cingular starts selling them again which should be after Siemens hopefully fixes the freakin bluetooth stack problems 🙂

Thanks for the reply and for your time helping people on this site.

Yes, I have this problem. Using the Motorola 820. Turning off then on the BT setting on phone reactivates the BT connection. Going to try the Sony 300 headset and see if there is improvement.
