1) The sx66 has a transcriber (handwriting recognition) funtion that seems to be pretty good in my limited use so far. It does not have a drawing program, except for what you can draw within the "notes" program. It is fine for basic drawings, but not like the ones I had in my Palm & Sony PDA's. I'm sure you can get all kinds of aftermarket drawing programs for pocket PC.
2) I transferred all my Palm data from my Sony NX70 (Palm 5) by setting up Hot Sync manager to sync with Outlook instead of Palm Desktop. My Palm documentation had instructions on how to do that. Then I used MS active sync to transfer it from Outlook to my sx66.
3) I've not traveled outside the US with it.
4) The SX66 is scarce, but is still apparently in some Cing...
