SX66 no audio on phone
I've had the SX66 about 2 weeks now and am having a problem with the phone. Several times, the phone audio is messed up. For example, when dialing a number, you cannot hear any dial tone, ringing of destination phone nothing. I verify the volume is turned up, etc., but still nothing. The only workaround is to do a soft reset...what a pain. You can still get inbound calls, but again very weak audio. I've not had time to isolate this further, but would like to hear of anyone else's experiences. Thanks for any help....Kent
Since then, the problem has not reoccured, but, I have only had the phone flashed now since Thursday (2/24/05).
Discovered a workaround that doesn't involve a soft reset:
Open Wireless Manager
Click on Blue Tooth Manager Icon on the tray
Close Blue Tooth Manager with ok
Close Wireless Manager with ok
Close Phone with ok
From the Today screen tap the Blue Tooth icon on tray and select Turn Bluetooth off
Open the Phone again and the speaker should be ok
This is a very strange issue since it seems to be related to the Blue Tooth subsystem. I also had problems last night with WiFi in that it refused to see my LinkSys router and would actually show the GPRS and WiFi connections green at the same time. Same here. Thought it was just me or some third party software I added. The phone appears to dial,no audio,soft reset needed.
Hopefully they will fix it. Its a real pain. Sometimes if my phone sits in the charger cradle for a while, when I go to use the phone its locked up and requites a reboot.
