I try to send email but it just goes to my outbox? Please help

I have Xpress mail set up and get the real time email. For some reason when I send mail it just goes to my outbox and doesn't actually send. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

are your outgoing mail settings right with your email provider?
