AIM on this phone

i'm using Agile Messenger (http://www.agilemobile.com/agile_messenger.h tml) a program i've used on pocketpc and series60 devices in the past. the windows smartphone version is in beta, and it feels a bit beta in usage (some problems with menus) but it works great as an instant messaging client. does AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ..pretty much Trillian for your phone, and free too. I'm not sure how it works in with the AT&T billing though. Whether each IM counts as a text message (as it does on the phones with built in AIM) or if it uses up bits of your data plan. I'm sure I'll find out when I get my next bill..

I can say that ATT charges text messages for IM's on any other phone...

So what does that mean? Is that mMode or wireless Internet or SMS/Message when I use any of the messenger apps? Is it the same for all apps or do different apps do it differently?
