I've been a heavy user of my WAP browser (check Yahoo mail constantly, read ESPN articles etc.) and never gone over my monthly data limit (5MB).
However, I've heard that since this phone will be using the 'real' internet instead of WAP it will be pulling in much more data. Any sense of how big the difference would be? I just want to get a sense of how much I might have to bump up my data plan and what it would cost.

As far as I can tell, this thing chews through your data plan like no one's business. My new month (and 4 mb) started on Octobery 27th, and, today, Friday November 5th--about a week and a half later--I've already gone through 2 mb. And I really only used it over the weekend...

Let me provide a little clarification. I posted this somewhere else, but forgot where, so my apologies for re-posting it.
Most cellular carriers provide two "network" options. One is what most of us know as "the Internet" and the other is something of a "local network".
Let's start with AT&T. AT&T offers two networks (and hence two plans to go with them). One is their mMode network, and the other is their Wireless Data network. The Wireless Data network is basically what the rest of us call "The Internet" proper. Their mMode network is somewhat more like an AOL kind of network in the sense that the content and sites you can visit within it are controlled by AT&T (whereas on the Internet, it's not controlled by anyone). I agree, the unlimited $25 data plan is worth it. I find that before I know it, I've used 4 MB in a weekend of looking up movie times, directions, scores, and checking email.
