EDGE V. GPRS
I currently have a Nokia 6230 with Cingular but I am interested in upgrading to the Audiovox 5600. I like all the features on the 5600, but have some concern about the phone not having EDGE capabilities. The 6230 was EDGE enabled so I don't want to take a step back in speed. Does anyone know if this is a valid concern, or will the 5600 with GPRS work ok. Thanks for any feedback.

I was using a Moto V551 before I got this phone, and I haven't really noticed any difference in speeds...only thing is it takes a little longer to download mms...but that's only like ten to twenty seconds longer.

The SMT5600 connects fine with the GPRS network but you will notice a speed difference between the 6230 and the SMT5600, or at least I did.

All browsers aren't created equl , either. The IE that comes with the 5600 is crappy, but if you install the OPERA browser you will defintely notice a difference. This alos helds true on the MPX 220. (I've had both)
