i just got this phone today and am in the same situation (user guide not in english). i found an online version of the manual on the net at http://www.phonedog.com/cellphone-research/mo torola-a780_user-manual.aspx. i think it can also be found at some other sites, too.
just started playing around with mine, so not sure the answer to your specific question, but hopefully its a start (if you haven't gotten things squared away already...)

😁 glad to hear from you diva but unfortunately my friend has the same phone but with an english manual and it still doesnt really tell you how to go about setting it up.. ive tried looking in the 2 disc that came with the phone but still nothing.. well if you find out how to set it up let me know and ill do the same thanks...
