Need Help with Settings (Ext. screen and home screen)
also, i have 4 icons on the bottom of my home screen that i want to change. the browser and real player will not be moved. wonder why? does anyone know how to change this?
Over all a grat phone...plus since I bought it in Dubai, none of that annoying cingular animation on startup.
Perhaps I am not understanding your question properly because my external screen is blank other then when a call comes in or text message and then it just says who it is from and goes blank again. I haven't tried to change the icons on the bottom.
did you get yours at the moto center in Bur Dubai? the only other place i have seen it is at carrefours at the new mall of the emirates.
But I have always preferred proper flip phones especially those with external screens however I was never willing to give up having a touch screen and up till now have not seen a flip phone that also had a touch screen.
So when I saw this and discovered that it did indeed have a touch screen as well, I just had to have it. I don't normally buy on impulse, as I like to look up reviews on mobiles before buying. This time I just bought it anyway, and am so pleased that I did. The fact that it talks always ...

sorry for delay in replying as i was traveling to the US. I still have not figured out how to change the external screen. I may go back to Motorola in Bur Dubai for help. that is IF they can help.

What exactly do you mean regarding changing the external screen??
On mine, it is blank most of the time until a call comes in and it lights up, showing the caller details and either a cartoon picture or a picture of the person if I have taken one of them. After a few seconds, it goes blank again (if of course I do not answer it).
If I get a text message, again it lights up showing who it is from and then goes blank again.
So if I have missed a call, or a text message, the only way I can check to see if I have missed any, is to either use the voice facility on the outside or to actually open up the mobile to see...
