What about us "ATTWS" Customers
I am an "ATTWS" customer and I want this phone too! I like my current plan and don't want to switch to the "Cingular" network at this time.

Since the V551 is quad-band, it will be unlocked from Cingular. Since, you want to keep your AT&T plan, you will have to purchase the phone at retail which should be $300-$350. The tenure will be maintained. If you bail ship from ATTWS before the merger is complete, you'll lose your tenure. Tenure, in this case, offers much better discounts on products and services. Theoretically, after the 15th, all ATTWS customers will be getting Cingular's roll-over minutes and free mobile-to-mobile minutes, also.
So for now, I'm sticking with ATTW...
