photo caller id?
What's the deal with the photo caller id? Some people say that it does show up when someone calls and you simply open up the phone to see their number and small pic beside it....and some people say it's not even there. Somebody who has this phone, please clarify

not sure. im looking to get this phone as well. as a whole, picture caller id is stupid anyway. think about it, you know whos calling b4 u even open the phone due to the external caller id display(and clock). so whats the point of opening up the phone when u know whos calling already, just to see their picture? i have this feature on my v600 and its totally pointless. now, id see a use for this feature IF your phone has an external disply that can dhow pictures. however the external display on the v551 is numeric only.

Also, If by chance you leave the phone OPEN & someone calls the image should appear (as long as you assign their photo to their number) & I believe the photo is larger.

I had the v300 and I think picture caller id only is cool if your phone has an outside screen. Because you see who's calling by the name on the outside and you only see the picture once you open the phone - or if you're on another call and call waiting clicks in - the picture of the person calling shows up...but otherwise - it's not that big a deal on a phone without a screen on the outside of the flip.
