I have a bluetooth adaptor inserted into one of my pc's usb ports.. My computer says the bluetooth device is enabled and working correctly. When I select for my V551 be
" discoverable ", nothing happens. Neither my phone or my computer show that they are finding each other. What am I doing wrong ? I wish it would work !! Please help asap !! 🤭

Okay, now after you made your phone visible and your bluetooth is active, did you tell the program to discover devices? Even if your phone's bluetooth is active, you need to tell the PC bluetooth to discover it. You also may have to have them sync up for the first time, depending on your program.

Well, I don't know what prog your running but there should be different drop down options across the top of of the program window. There should be something in there to discover your device. It would most likely say "Discover Devices" and make sure your phone is discoverable at that time. You may also have something like "Sync devices" in which you need to make sure your phone is still discoverable. (have your flip open so you can accept) I used to use my BT but not anymore cause Mobile Phone Tools is easier and faster.

Note to Mac users--apple isync doesn't support M551--you have to get a data cable and on-support--mine are in the mail but every apple message board says they work. Bluetooth pairs--except for my Jabra Bt200 headset--don't know what's wrong, but no data transfer with isync.

It should come with a cable. Make sure you update the program as soon as you get it, it has an update option. Once you install the drivers and let it discover your phone, it's very very easy. You just plug in, open MPT's and start transferring anything you like, either way. Once you get it running, it has a very easy interface.

Something similar happened to me last night when I try to discover my friend's phone (V551) also, I guess I was doing something wrong, I was unable to find him, he was unable to find me as well, and yes, I was looking for devices while he was on "find me" and viceversa.

What am I doing wrong? why can't I pair my phone with my friend's phone? I don't get it, I am able to pair it with my BT headset, but for some reason I can't find my friend's phone, neither can't he find mine.
