RingerIDs and Text messages
I have a problem....I set a ringerID for my friend to play a song whenever they call. But now instead of a regular "Ding" sound when they send me a text message, it plays the whole freaking song I gave them for a ringtone. I find that obnoxious, can anyone help?

yeah i know what you mean. it is pretty stupid if you ask me. i'm sorry to say that i havent found any way to get around this other than turning off the ringer ID.

yeah there is no other way to turn it off unless you change the tone profile to vibrate or silent. a ringer ID is for both text and calls, the only time the ID doesn't go off is in a voicemail... i think it's b/c with the moto's the network recognizes the number first/only... but that's a highly thought out explination. good luck.
