what does the E and red green bar mean??
Been getting alot of calls about it......no cingular cc reps or tech reps seem to know.....not in manual.....not on motorola website.....
any ideas?

It means you're using EDGE. (high speed data) If it goes away it just means that EDGE is not available in that area, so your phone falls back to GPRS.

No no no, The GPRS icon still looks the same as on all other models ( 2 small squares ) The new software finally gave us the EDGE icon ("E" for EDGE, get it?) If there is no EDGE connection available it will revert back to GPRS wich is more widely available. If you dont see any of the two icons, you are outside the data network and will only be able to use voice (GSM)
