Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557

I purchased my v551 in April. Two weeks after, I started to have the infamous whitescreen problem where the phone will freeze mid-call and shut off. I spoke with Cingular about this, and they offered the exchange program, but I was in the middle of a trans-state move back from school and it wasn't worth the hassle to me. I continued to have the problem about once every week or two, and then today when I was driving, I noticed the my phone (fully charged), let out a strange noise I've never heard it emit before and then shut off. This all occurred while the flip was closed, and understandably, the screen was not functioning.
