Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557
V220 vs V551 - Cingular

Cingular is replacing my LG4050 which has been horrendous - constant dropped calls, unconnected calls, bad transmissions. I threatened to go to Verizon and terminate my contract early and they offered me the V220 to see if that was better.
So far (one day) the Motorola V220 does perform noticeably better, but the V551 is a closer match to my LG in features. The 551 has a higher user rating at this site, but there seem to be more people talking about problems with it. What do you all think?
I don't need anything particularly fancy,esp regarding multimedia, ringtones, etc. I'm a basic business/family user - solid connections are most critical to me.

go to the cingular page on this site and compare the 2 phones u will see that the v551 has WAY mare fetures that the v220 but just check there. hope that help!

go with the v551 its way better then the cheap and not so good v220 its good if u just want a basic phone but if you want something else with better features go with the v551 or v3
