Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557
V300 had BETER/MORE ringtones anyone know how to unlock them to put in V551?
I just got my V551 and the ringtones (yes all 10 of them) suck. 😳 😲
I had a V300 before & I loved the many different rings to choose from (most of which are locked) is there anyway to unlock those ringtones from my V300 to transfer them to my V551 with my data cable & the mobile phone tools program?
Or does anyone know of where you can download standard motorola ringtones?

I have the V300, and I agree, the ringtones are fun. I wish there was a way to unlock them, but I don't think it is possible. Do you like your V551 better than the 300 overall?

If the data cable works on both phones (v300 & v551) then with the right software you can simply download the ringtones right off the phone without having to unlock them. The 'lock' is only there so you can't try to copy them somewhere else via bluetooth, infrared, sms, mms, email, etc.. from the phone itself.

Ya I couldn't figure it out, but some kind person sent me a link to download my favorite V300 ringtone MOONLIT HAZE 🙂 & that made me pretty happy.
& I dont think the V551 is worth purchasing if you have the V300 & your happy with it. My V300 took better pictures & for some reason my V551 screen has a "greenish" tint to it (even though both phones I made sure were the same settings). However I do enjoy the design of the V551 better.

I have a V551 that is for some reason on occasion will crackle then shut off. It is under warranty, so I arranged for a warranty exchange. The replacement phone came with 42 less ring tones! I cannot find any of my original ring tones to download (including moonlit haze, Ambient Mood, and 40 others)! Do you know where I can get these, and if I buy a data cable ($35) where can I find the program to use it? Any help would be appreciated.
