Motorola V551 / V330 / V547 / V555 / V557
Will V551 also replace V400 and V300
🙄 Does anyone know if the V551 is also intended to replace the V400 and the V300 as well as the V500? After all the V500 appeared to be a V400 with bluetooth. The V400 and the v600 are of a similar age and we have the v620 coming in the 4th Q of 2004 followed later by the V635 to replace the V600. It stands to reason that moto would be ready to replace the V400 too.
Also does anyone have new price estimates for this phone and the RAZR V3 and the MPx220?

as far as the 551 replacing the 300 I don't know. As for the 400, Moto's releasing a PTT version of it eventually, so I don't think they're ready to retire it yet. No one's quite sure why they're pulling the v600 from Cingular, but I've heard it's for the 551 rather than the 620 as the 620 hasn't recieved FCC approval yet.
As far as the prices, I'd expect the v551 to be in line with the v600, the MPx220 to be a couple bills higher than that, and the RAZR V3 is best left for those to whom money is no object.

Sry..but this phone wont be on verizon...after all verizon is cdma and this phone is gsm..so they're not compatible

Hello there.....which phone carrier will the V551 most likely be on....Ive been using Verizon for 3 years and like it. Kind of spooked to go on another carrier....Verizon has stopped using nicer Moto's....Do you know of a decent new moto that Verizon will be using? Youre responses are very much appreciated.

verizon has the motorola V710, pretty nice phone. a few weeks ago i was talking to a guy at a cingular store, asking him about the nokia 6230, and then i brought up the v551, he said that they might get them in october. hope this helps.

I read that there was some glitches with the V600 and that's why Cingular pulled the V600 from their stores, etc. I don't see the V600 on ATTW website anymore. It's not showing up under bluetoothed or flip phones or all products. Yet, the MPX 200 is still showing up on the website. Maybe I overlooked something.
