Is a folding screen necessary?
I’ve been using smartphone devices for years without the need for a folding screen. If I wanted a bigger screen with mobility, I would have purchased a tablet with mobile data capabilities. This seems silly, and possibly a huge design issue (Wasn’t this tried earlier this year with bad results?). If you want a cool folding phone, design one looking like a paper fan.

It's so you have the best of both worlds. A regular phone for most of the time and a tablet like device for when you want a bigger screen for internet or gaming. That way you don't have to run around with a tablet all the time trying to talk on it. There were issues with this phone earlier in the year, but supposedly they have been fixed. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of this type of design in the future.
