Is there anything special to keep in mind when adding a pic for a contact? I've had a little trouble when trying to use a picture that I have sent to phone from online. I've also transfered the pic using the memory card (it's a jpeg). The picture displays under picture for the contact, but does not display when the contact calls or when I call them. I tried using the same picture for another contact and it worked. Not sure if I did something wrong, or if there was anything special to keep in mind when adding a pic for a contact. Thanks.

I just got a new headset for my s710a. I got it to pair up no problem, the phone recognized the headset and vice versa. The headset shows the correct icon during the calls, the phone shows it's on handsfree mode and there is nothing coming out of the phone speaker. Yet, there is no sound coming through the headset and no voice is heard through the headset mic. The volume controls work ok on the headset and I can hear the beeps when you press the button and I can hear the ringing when adjusting the volume so the speaker works. I just get no sound in or out of it during a call. I'm trying to figure out if it's the phone, the headset, or something I am doing wrong. I don't know anyone with a bluletooth phone so can't do any testing. Has...

I'm a newbie to high tech cell phones but have done a bunch of research on them. I've basically narrowed it down to 2 phones, the SE s710a or the Nokia 6230i. The pros (versus the Nokia) on the SE are the design and screen size. The pros (versus the SE) on the Nokia are more memory than the SE and an FM radio. My requirements for a phone are bluetooth, camera, data-capable, EDGE, music player and wireless internet. I would really like it to have FM radio but could live without. I would also like to use it in conjunction with a laptop computer eventually so any features that would help with that are pretty important.

im trying to dl a new theme for s710a. all the from the cingular site are gay... stupid horse, west side, or gay orange "pimp" themes. everytime i try to dl one of the free themes from sonyericsson.com i keep getting errors. does anyone know what the deal with the ericsson site is or if i can find themes elsewhere?

128Mb Max!!!!!!!

Love the phone, but am dissapointed then only support a memory stick up to 128 MB. I doubt its possible at ths time, but has anyone found a way around this, I figure its a shot in the dark, but its worth it.

Hi everybody--newbie here.

Just got the S710a and love it so far. One question: is there any way to turn off sleep/standby mode? I know it'll eat up my battery, but I would like for my display to be on at all times.

So i have a s710a and im wondering where i can buy a 128mb memory stick for it.
They have them at best buy but it has the magic gate protection and it says it wont work with my phone.

Im looking to get rid of mine because its discontinued. I really like the phone, but I wanted mroe memory, and if its true that they discontinued it, then I'm looking into the nokia n80

My phone is an unlocked Cingular phone (all the badges, insignia etc) but I'm using TMobile as my carrier. Is there a way I can upgrade the firmware and keep the phone unlocked the way I recieved it?

I just got this phone and I love it.

It is Cingular branded however it is unlocked and I am using a T-Mobile SIM card.

My question is how do I go online with the phone, also how do I use the phone as a modem for my laptop.

I do not have an internet plan with T-Mobile, is it possible to still go online?

Ok have figured everything out so far except the voice dialing and magic word. Have all my numbers that will be used for voice dialing programed but can't for the love of me get the thing to dial using voice. The book says use the volume buttons or Magic Word and niether work. All functions are activated.

Does voice dialing on work with a headset ? If so this kinda sucks.

Hi All-
I just got the phone and have searched thru the forum: I copied pics (.jpg) to my Memory stick an cant get them to show upon the phone when I go to set the wallpaper. Nor can I see them in file manager/pictures. Am I suppose to convert them or reduce the size before copying them? I looked in the manual and do not see anything too specific there.

Does anyone know of anyway to read .txt files from this phone if they are transferred to the memory card?

i just got my s710a unlocked from cingular and now am using it with my tmo...any body having any troubles using it as a bluetooth modem or getting online and what is the sms service center, becasue i cant use any right now.
