I just came back from the verizon store. When I asked them if there is a data cable and software program so i could back up my contacts, like i have had on all my other phones they said NO! None of the three new EVDO phone will allow this. This is there is no way to back up your contacts and no way to use the phone as a modem! I have over 300 contacts and if i can't back up my phone for get it. Verizon sucks! Verizon has a service that you have to pay for every month to back up your contacts over the their get it now network. It costs, I think 4$ a month. Crooks.

The phones will be able to be used as modems. The technology will only work however if there was an EV-DO launch in your area. If not the will not be capable until that date.

the USB cable isnt availible yet but they say its coming out soon once they see the popularity of the phone. they dont want to spend excessive amounts of money on an unpopular product. it kinda makes sense but to make it more popular they shood offer the USB cable in the package. and why dont they give you a plastic holster in the package???
