Nokia 9300 / 9300i
Any updated release info?
Just wondering if anyone has any updated 9300 info. I am considering porting from VZW, but I wanted to use this phone for my 30 day trial... Please don't force me to use a Treo 😕

I heard from an RF engineer at Cingular yesterday that the 9300 got sent back to Nokia for an additional set of bug fixes recently and has to go through at least one more round of use testing. It will probably be at least another 3 to 4 weeks.
No one expected testing to take this long or uncover this many problems. But at least when it is released, it will be reliable.

I don't know about Cingular, but VZW has always used the "extensive testing process" excuse when asked about their slow release of phones... The only problem is the phones still come out with problems. I really like this phone, but I'm starting to think about buying myself a SE p910 and going from there...

I work for one of the b2b depts at Cingular, and it's on the Business price list as a "coming soon" - so we'll definitely carry it, just a matter of when it will be available. I'd guess by the end of November.

Might still be possible to get ahold of one. If you've got a bus. discount on the account, you'll be able to get one. You might also want to just try asking to talk to Business Care when the phone is out. I'd imagine if there's enough demand for the phone, it'll be made availble for all customers soon enough.
