Problems- Solution?

Hi. I just got the e315 and am really happy with the form, but find the function pretty lacking. I’m in Seattle and my reception is spotty at best- I can be sitting in the same place and drop from 4 bars to none mid-call. My bf's 4 year old Nokia got better sound quality and reception in our apartment than this one does (on AT&T just before the Cingular buyout).

Has anyone else had this problem? I want to give the e315 a fighting chance, but if this is a common issue I’ll switch to another model.

In that vein, has anyone found a phone with similar features but better call quality? I’m on T-Mobile and their phone selection doesn’t seem that great right now.

I've had the e315 for about 3 weeks and have found it to have great reception (SF Bay Area down 5 to LA and Palm Spgs).

It feels a bit delicate to me (but no probs so far) and the software interface can be tedious in the phone book and can't customize shortcuts/soft keys to freq used items.

did have one issue with the phone freezing while I entered a number/name, had to turn off and back on and has been fine since.

Thanks for the reply. I've stuck with the phone and actually find the reception increases enough to be usable in my apartment when I plug in the ear piece.

While I feel like that shouldn't be necessary they got me on sheer laziness and lack of a better alternative. I wasted a few hours at the mall talking to all of the cell companies and looking at all of the phones before I decided putting up with spotty reception for cheap/free was easier than taking a chance on another phone or cell company. At least it is only a one year contract.
